We passed a couple today in shorts and sleeveless jerseys while I'm also wearing leg warmers, arm warmers, a wind breaker, and having second thoughts about not bringing my winter gloves. Turns out they were from Vermont, which explaned it all to me. I'll never forget how cold I got on a few occasions while living there. And I think my blood has thinned since then, I would have frozen if I were dressed like they were. On the other hand, I'm jealous of how much stuff I could send home and lighten my load if I could dress like that

Knock on wood, that was a pretty easy 80 miles
It might have been because of the short 45 mile day yesterday, I'd like to think it's because I'm getting stronger, but I really think it is because of the tailwinds. We covered about 80 mile of Oregon coast and it really didn't hurt much at all. I think the worst part of it was that David couldn't find any Coke up here in Pepsi country. Usually he can go to a nearby convenience store and bring in his own soda, but it's a little less populated here and Coke isn't always available just ocross the street.

Is it true that blood thins or thickens or is that an old wives tale? I feel like the longer I live in Michigan the *less* tolerance I have for the cold!
I'm loving the photos and your posts. Thanks for sharing!
Here's to more tailwinds in the upcoming days!
